Defined Specialists

Introduction

From June 1st 2006 the register has been open for the registration of defined specialists by assessment of retrospective portfolios.

Defined registration is expected to be relevant for a number of different public health professionals. Registration with the UK Voluntary Register for Specialists in Public Health will not replace existing professional registration for specialists wishing to continue practising in that profession, for example psychology or pharmacy.

Application packs can be downloaded from the links below or can be obtained from the Register Office.

The statement from the Joint Board made following its July 2004 meeting, is also available. You may also like to read this by way of an introduction.
