The membership of the Registration Panel is decided by the Joint Board. It includes some or all of the assessors, in particular the Independent Assessors who chair the assessment teams. The Registration Panel is chaired by a member of the Joint Board, who is nominated by the Chair of the Board.
The function of the Registration Panel is to review and approve the recommendations of the assessment teams for submission to the Joint Board, which will accept an applicant’s registration. The Registration Panel do everything possible to ensure the integrity of the assessment process and the fair and impartial consideration of applications. The Registration Panel acts in accordance with instructions from the Board concerning the quality of the assessment process.
The current Chair of the Registration Panel is Lynn Crooks, and the Vice Chair is Professor Ian Harvey.
UK Public Health Register
As of 1 February 2008 the UK Voluntary Register for Public Health Specialists will be know as the UK Public Health Register.
