Susan Lloyd RD, MBA, MPH, FFPH




Susan Lloyd is Chair of the UKPHR Registration Panel. She is a public health specialist with an expertise in nutrition and has published widely on health inequalities. She works nationally and internationally as a researcher and expert adviser. In particular, her work as impacted on the development of national planning guidance for food outlets. This work was used as evidence in the development of the 2010 NICE Guidance on prevention of Cardiovascular Disease.


She holds a number of lectureships and regularly contributes to both popular and academic publications. Of note is her authorship of academic papers and a number of reports for the Food Standards Agency. She also contributes to public health academic programmes for the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.


Regulation of public health professionals has been a passion for many years. In 2000, while employed by the Centre for Health Leadership (Wales) Susan designed and project managed the delivery of the highly acclaimed Allied Health Professions leadership programme. The programme was later evaluated by Henley Management College as excellent. She was Professional Affairs Officer and Director of the International Nutrition Society (2007 – 2010), during which time she developed the Society’s on-line CPD programme. She is proud to be able to contribute to regulation of public health via UKPHR.
